Enzo Maresca has revealed youngster Mark Giew is out for a long time with an injury that could leave Chelsea short of a frontman for

Monday’s FA Cup clash with Brighton. Giew and Nicolas Jackson both picked up injuries in Monday’s win over West Ham and it was initially thought the injuries were not serious.

However, Maresca has given an update that Giew’s injury could keep him out for weeks or months.

“Unfortunately Giew has picked up a bad injury, maybe. Yeah, we have to wait and see but it doesn’t look like it’s a short-term injury. It’s a long-term injury, probably weeks or months,” said เว็บพนันออนไลน์ UFABET สมัครง่าย โปรโมชั่นมากมาย Maresca. It is bad news for Giew,

who has been making progress and looks set to play an increasingly important role for the Blues in the second half of the season.

Jackson, who has not scored in the league in eight games, is out with a hamstring but it is a milder issue than Giew’s.

“Nico is better. He may be available but it is a risky one so we have to wait and see. It doesn’t look like it’s a long-term injury.”

In addition, Romeo Lavia will take some time to return to the pitch, having recovered from an injury and returned to play last month but has missed the last three league games.
